Valuelist export- and importmodule
Export and import all your valuelists to Excel.
All value lists can be exported to Excel, where they can be edited or new value lists and/or values can be added, and then re-imported into ControlOffice.
Note: Value list codes and value codes cannot be changed—only their names can be edited.
The Excel file contains two tabs:
-
One tab with the value lists themselves
-
One tab with the values for each value list
The basic rules for importing are as follows:
-
Do not change the format of the Excel file. Do not modify column headers, remove columns, rename tabs, or change the structure in any way.
-
Required fields in ControlOffice are also mandatory in the Excel file to ensure proper data import. For example, uploading a new cost center without a code will result in an error. Required fields are highlighted with a red background in Excel.
First create a value list with several values manually in ControlOffice, then export it. This way, you’ll have sample rows in Excel to continue working with.
The import is processed as a background task, allowing you to keep working in ControlOffice. Depending on the amount of data, the process may take some time.
If desired, a notification email can be sent when the import starts and finishes. If errors occur during import, they will be listed in the email.
