Basic rules for a successful import:
-
Do not change the layout of the Excel file.
Do not modify column headers, remove columns, or rename/delete any tabs. Do not alter the structure of the Excel file in any way. -
Mandatory fields in ControlOffice are also mandatory in the Excel file.
For example, importing a new cost centers without a cost centers code will trigger an error. Required fields are marked with a red background in Excel.
First create a few cost centers manually in ControlOffice, then export them. This will give you sample rows in Excel to use as a template.
The import runs in the background, so you can continue working while it processes. Depending on the amount of data, it may take some time. If desired, a notification email can be sent when the import starts and ends. Any errors will be listed in that email.
