Cost centers export- and importmodule

Modify and import your cost centers easely.

All cost centers, can be exported to Excel, edited or added, and then re-imported.

The export module does not include any cost centers that are in the recycle bin—only active cost centers are exported. If the export/import button is not visible, this feature must be enabled through user permissions.

The cost centers can be imported and exported via "Systemmanegement" -> "Cost centers".

The Excel template ControlOffice provides has 2 columns.

Column name Explanation
Costcentercode Enter the unique cost center code
Costcentername Enter the name of the cost center (the name will be shown throughout ControlOffice during the daily use)

Basic rules for a successful import:

  • Do not change the layout of the Excel file.
Do not modify column headers, remove columns, or rename/delete any tabs. Do not alter the structure of the Excel file in any way.

  • Mandatory fields in ControlOffice are also mandatory in the Excel file.
For example, importing a new cost centers without a cost centers code will trigger an error. Required fields are marked with a red background in Excel.

First create a few cost centers manually in ControlOffice, then export them. This will give you sample rows in Excel to use as a template.

The import runs in the background, so you can continue working while it processes. Depending on the amount of data, it may take some time. If desired, a notification email can be sent when the import starts and ends. Any errors will be listed in that email.
