Checklists export- and importmodule
All (currently only) execution-driven checklists can be exported and imported. In addition, all tasks and "scheduling rules" can also be exported and imported.
The following is currently possible with the checklist export and import module (with more features to be added):
-
Export all execution-based checklists to Excel, edit them, or create new ones.
-
Export all tasks (regardless of checklist type) to Excel, edit them, or create new ones.
-
Export all scheduling rules (link between checklist and object) to Excel, edit them, or create new ones.
The export module does not include any checklists that are in the recycle bin—only active checklists are exported. If the export and import button is not visible, the feature must be enabled through user permissions.
Basic rules for import:
-
Do not modify the layout of the Excel file. Do not change column headers, delete columns, or rename tabs. Do not alter the structure of the Excel file in any way.
-
If a field refers to a predefined set of values, the values entered in Excel must exactly match those available in ControlOffice. The import function does not modify or add values to these lists. Update the values in ControlOffice first, then perform the import. For example, if a checklist references a relation 'X', but no relation with code 'X' exists in ControlOffice, the import will fail.
-
Mandatory fields in ControlOffice are also required in the Excel file to ensure proper data submission. For example, uploading a new checklist without a checklist code will result in an error. Required fields are marked with red fill in the Excel file.
Start by creating a few checklists in ControlOffice manually, then perform an export. This will provide you with example rows in the Excel file to work with.
The import process runs as a background task, allowing you to continue working. Depending on the amount of data, it may take some time. If desired, a notification can be sent by email when the import starts and finishes. If any errors occur, they will be listed in the email.
