Notifications

In this menu, you can configure which notifications (via email or webhook) are automatically sent based on actions within ControlOffice.

Notification Settings

When setting up a notification, the following fields are available:

Field Name Description
Notification Type Choose which notification should be sent
Filter Only visible for notifications aimed at requests and workorders — here, a "Type" can optionally be specified.
Warning Period Set the number of days/weeks/months/years before a notification is sent (e.g., for a planned date)
Channel Type Choose the sending channel: email or webhook
Webhook URL The URL to which the webhook will be sent
Attachment Choose whether an attachment should be included (e.g., work order or report)
Notification To Specify who should receive the notification (see below)
Status Enable or disable the notification

Recipient Types

Recipient Type Description
Default Behavior Automatically set recipient per notification (usually the reporter or requester)
User Select a specific user to receive the notification
User Group All users in the selected group will receive the notification

Each notification contains a standard email text and a link to the related item. Notifications are usually sent within a few minutes.

Overview of available notifications

Notifications marked with a * are sent via the background process “Background Process Management.” This process must be also be active.

Requests

Notification Management

For each channel type, it can be configured whether it can be used or not.

Available Channel Types:

  • Email

  • Webhook

Notifications can be configured through either channel, depending on the desired action or automation.
